Body In Rhythm Motion Hour is Energizing Fun for the "Heart, Mind, Body, and Spirit."
“Happiness and Joy are Measured and Appreciated by Being in The Moment”
~ From My Mama's Kitchen®
Do you remember singing in the kitchen while cooking, listening to your favorite song as if no one else was listening? How about recalling dancing while cleaning the house, listening to your favorite music like no one was watching?
Body In Rhythm Motion Hour is energizing fun for the "Heart, Mind, Body, and Spirit." It is a proprietary “Hybrid Dancing and Singing” entertainment presentation designed to recreate those happy, endearing, and entertaining moments for Assisted Living and Memory Care Seniors!
While sitting comfortably, seniors move rhythmically and lip-sync for an hour. The energizing activity nourishes and boosts their heart, mind, body, and spirit, enhancing their overall wellness and happiness!
With radiant smiles, our Seniors are enjoying their favorite tunes and singing along with the classics. They show joy as they groove to the sounds of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, Jackie DeShannon, Doris Day, Dionne Warwick, Peggy Lee, Ricky Nelson, Ben E. King, Petula Clark, BJ Thomas, The Drifters, Neil Sedaka, Sam Cooke, and Elvis Presley, to name a few.
A wealth of studies and extensive research have shown that a unique blend of dancing and singing can significantly boost Seniors' memory skills and overall health. The proper timing of their upper body and foot movements contributes to their cognitive agility, the essence of our "Energizing Fun" program presentation.
Musical rhythms stimulate specific areas of the brain, often known as our “rewards centers.” The stimulation acts like vitamin nourishment for brain cells, benefiting the neurons. These regions are associated with dopamine, which affects happiness, well-being, movement, and thinking.
Body In Rhythm Motion Energize Fun Hour is currently at:
The Tradition Senior Living - Lovers Lane, Dallas, TX
Belmont Village Senior Living Turtle Creek, Dallas, TX

Many loved ones have scheduled their visits during this hour to lovingly participate in the magical moment of experiencing the joy of family connection!
TESTIMONIALS:
As a daughter of a mother who has been in Tradition Lovers Lane Memory Care for the past 3 years, I am very grateful for activities such as Body In Rhythm Motion Energize Fun Hour, which combines wonderful nostalgic music with bodily movements while sitting in a chair. My mother’s face lights up as she sings along with the songs. I have witnessed other residents who normally do not participate much become engaged with the music and movements. This type of stimulation brings joy to all residents in their different stages of dementia. It is one activity I look forward to, as my mother and I happily connect with all the singing!

Every Friday from 3-4 pm, we visit our dear friend who is in memory care at the Belmont Village Turtle Creek. Johnny Tan brings beautiful music, motions, and his winning smile to give joy to the residents. Johnny makes a great connection with each person through his warmth and kindness. It is a happy, happy hour for all. Thank you, Johnny!

Johnny and his Body in Rhythm Motion Energize Fun Hour is one of the most fun things to take place on the memory care floor at The Preston of the Park Cities! My mom and the other residents perk right up when he turns on his nostalgic playlist. He has such a calm way of engaging the group and gets everyone moving and singing along. His music is perfect for my mom’s generation, and despite losing her memories about many things, she still remembers the words of all the songs Johnny plays. He is a breath of fresh air, spreading joy with his combination of song and gentle movements in time with the music. He is a treasure to memory care patients!
